In honor of today’s news that, we wanted to look back at the singer-songwriter’s last visit to the long-running music television program. For Beck’s 2002 ACL performance, as well as a theater tour, Hansen enlisted The Flaming Lips as his backing band.In 2002 Beck was touring behind the melancholy Sea Change, the critically-acclaimed album that includes such standout tracks as “Golden Age” and “Guess I’m Doing Fine.” The mellow material was in stark contrast to the usually joyful and rambunctious music of the Flaming Lips.
